Tracie Heidt

Program Coordinator

Tracie Heidt has a strong understanding of the inner works of city government and an innate sense of the public’s needs for information and two-way communication. These skills help her effectively communicate with all types of stakeholders, including neighbors, local businesses, elected officials and multijurisdictional teams. As a public involvement coordinator, Tracie designs public information materials, coordinates between team members and stakeholders, conducts outreach activities including individual meetings with stakeholders, and fields comments and questions directly from concerned individuals on behalf of agencies.

As a Canby City Councilor, Tracie uses similar skills as she does with her public involvement work. She has an ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. From working with young children, volunteering at a local preschool co-op, to talking with city leadership about a project to further engage seniors in Canby – Tracie brings a genuine desire to ensure stakeholder voices are heard and considered.

Prior to joining JLA in 2018, Tracie coordinated a community volunteer program in Canby called the Teacher Adoption Program, did special events planning for Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, and taught High School English.
